Hello, NH-CTE Community, Industry Partners, and Supporters!
If you are receiving this, then you have registered to attend or are a guest at the SY24 NH-CTE Summer Learning Series on August 6th and 7th in beautiful Portsmouth, NH. We look forward to spending time together with all of our cluster participants, industry partners, AI panelists, and best practices presenters! Please see some important logistics information below.
Getting there:
Portsmouth High School (PHS) is located at 50 Andrew Jarvis Drive.
Parking:
Guests should park in the front and side parking lots. See PHS campus map embedded herein.
Entering the Building and Registration:
We will use the old foyer entrance (Door #11) at the gymnasium entrance by the big anchor. Registration and packet pick up for guests, panelists, and presenters will be in the foyer just outside of the auditorium. Walk straight through the gymnasium entrance doors and through the atrium; you will find registration straight ahead.
Raffle:
Some generous sponsors have provided raffle donations. You will find your raffle ticket tucked into the lanyard you pick-up at registration. Raffle prizes include baseball tickets, a train ride, a basket of Lindt chocolates, etc. The raffle will be pulled at lunch on day two, and you must be present to win.
Cluster T-Shirts:
If you registered prior to June 30th and requested a NH-CTE Cluster t-shirt, they will be available for pick up at registration. We ask that folks consider wearing their t-shirts on Tuesday, August 7th.
Social Media:
Share your Summer Learning Series experience with us:
On Facebook by tagging New Hampshire Career & Technical Education
Hospitality:
Light refreshments will be available in the cafeteria in the morning, and lunch will be provided in the cafeteria as well. The building is equipped with bottle filling stations throughout so be sure to bring your water bottle. Stay hydrated!
Program Details:
Our daily agendas, presenter and panelist activities, wireless access, and other helpful information can be found online in the NH-CTE Summer Learning Series Program. Bring your own devices (and chargers) so that you can work effectively with your clusters, as well as any cluster materials specific to moving your work forward.
Attire is business casual; dress for comfort and bring a sweater if you tend to get chilled. We have AC in the building, and it is much stronger in some areas than others.
If you have yet to make overnight stay arrangements, dinner plans, etc. the Portsmouth Chamber Collaborative has graciously provided a “Go Portsmouth” site sharing some of the venues and summer activities available throughout the community.
Should you have any questions prior to the event, don’t hesitate to contact Courtney Ritchings, Portsmouth CTE Director at critchings@sau52.org.
We wish all of our guests, presenters, and panelists a wonderful visit and productive experience!
